The agency opened its doors in 2008, focusing on the opportunities offered by the exploitation of the Djibouti-Ethiopia Corridor, 511 km long, through which pass 95% of Ethiopian exports and 80% of Ethiopian imports.
The agency has been able to develop as a partner of the Ethiopian economic market, with a population of 120 million, by ensuring the transfer of goods but also by providing tailor-made logistics solutions (rail/road transport/use of the Warehouse platform in free zones).
On the Djiboutian market, the economic development strategy is centered on the exploitation of maritime ports, renewable energies, but also foreign armed bases, the agency has rightly been able to position itself on the Djiboutian market as providers of services. logistics solutions for international companies, governmental and non-governmental entities, foreign armies present on Djiboutian soil in connection with development axes.
Always in a spirit of commercial development but also to meet the needs and problems of the Djiboutian market, a shipping department was created, as such AGL Djibouti was a partner in the fight against piracy which was rampant in the region by serving the ships of Operation Atalanta.
