AGL CELEBRATES THE CLOSING OF THE FIRST COHORT OF ITS YIRI INNOVATION CENTER’S “ACCELERATE” PROGRAM

On May 15, 2025 in Abidjan, Africa Global Logistics (AGL) celebrated the closing of the first edition of “Accelerate”, its open innovation program dedicated to African startups. Led by Yiri, its innovation center based in Côte d’Ivoire, this initiative has made it possible to create concrete bridges between AGL’s expertise and the continent’s technological ecosystem.

Designed to meet Africa’s logistical, digital and environmental challenges, the program supported four promising startups for six months  :

  • ALIA, intelligent legal assistant (Côte d’Ivoire)
  • Tambour, specialist in digital dry cleaning (Ivory Coast)
  • Eazy Chain, a player in the digitalization of maritime transport (Togo)
  • Paps, expert in last-mile logistics (Senegal)

Selected for the relevance and sustainability of their solutions, these young companies benefited from tailor-made support through a structured course combining mentoring, specialized training, field immersion and the development of pilot projects. The program ended with a final pitch, bringing together investors, experts and partners around the concrete results obtained and the prospects for deploying the co-constructed solutions.

«The "Accelerate" program has revealed the full potential of African talents to transform logistical challenges into real levers of development. We see this first edition as the starting point for a strong and lasting commitment to the continent's innovators.» said Fatou Diomandé I Head of the Yiri Innovation Center
« By launching "Accelerate", we have made the bold bet of bringing our businesses closer to African technological solutions. Today, we are proud of the progress made alongside these startups, which embody an Africa on the move, innovative and ambitious. We will continue to support them to build the logistics of tomorrow together: more agile, inclusive and sustainable. » Asta Rosa Cissé, Regional Director of AGL Côte d'Ivoire I Burkina Faso

Through the “Accelerate” program, AGL reaffirms its commitment to local innovation, supports the emergence of African logistics champions, and actively contributes to the transformation of value chains towards a more agile, inclusive and sustainable model.
