Africa Global Logistics takes part in the Sim Senegal 2023

AGL (Africa Global Logistics) is taking part in the 7th edition of SIM Senegal, which takes place from 03 to 05 October 2023 in Diamniadio, Senegal.

This event, which attracts thousands of participants, has established itself as one of the leading mining events in West Africa. It brings together key players in the sector, such as mining companies, government representatives, experts, and specialized companies, to discuss industry’s future. AGL, as a major player in mining logistics in Africa, is taking part to present its solutions for the development of mining on the continent.

The company stands out for its extensive network covering 47 countries in Africa, enabling it to offer land, rail, sea and port transport solutions virtually everywhere, even in the most remote regions, particularly on mining sites often located in areas that are difficult to access. For over 30 years, AGL has benefited from solid expertise in this industry, thanks to its specialized teams dedicated to the sector’s problems. The company works with a wide range of players, including mine owners and engineering companies, providing solutions tailored to each stage of their project, whether in the construction phase or in the supply chain operations linked to mining.

During the forum, AGL, through its subsidiaries AGL Mali and AGL Senegal, will be hosting a stand to present its comprehensive range of services for the development of the sector. Mining logistics experts from AGL’s head office in France are also on hand to discuss the company’s commitments to the industry, particularly in the energy transition context, which requires a more responsible approach from all players. The company will also be outlining its commitment to local development, mainly through its “local content” contracts, which have a significant social impact on the development of mining projects in Africa.

«We are delighted to be taking part in SIM Senegal 2023. It's an opportunity for us to better understand the challenges and needs of our customers, so that we can offer them tailored solutions. We are committed to responding specifically to the expectations of each sector to become their preferred logistics partner. In the mining sector, we are working to integrate sustainable and eco-responsible solutions and we are developing "local content" initiatives in the context of mining, in order to train and support young people. It is an imperative and a source of pride for us to have a positive and tangible impact.» said Mohamed Abdoulaye Diop, Regional Director of AGL Africa Atlantic
