AGL Gabon has successfully carried out a large-scale logistics operation for the construction of a 40 MW gas-fired power plant in Port-Gentil. The project involved handling two exceptional packages, combining abnormal weight and oversized dimensions.
The company drew on its Project Cargo expertise across the entire chain. Two pieces of oversized industrial equipment were handled from their unloading at the port through to their installation at the operating site.
A complex operation, which shows what the Group is capable of when it comes to designing and deploying an integrated logistics solution for a strategic industrial project.
The loads weighed 176 and 166 tonnes respectively. Moving them required specialized technical resources, including a high-capacity hydraulic modular trailer. Each phase was prepared in advance: technical studies, analysis of infrastructure constraints, risk assessment, and the implementation of reinforced safety measures.
The operation ended with a delicate lifting phase, carried out with high-capacity cranes. The equipment was positioned with precision, in strict compliance with applicable safety standards.
This achievement confirms AGL's expertise in complex logistics operations: technical know-how, rigorous execution, and mastery of heavy and oversized load transport.
AGL thus reaffirms its commitment to the development of energy and industrial infrastructure in Central Africa, with reliable, secure logistics solutions tailored to the most demanding projects.
