On September 25, 2024, AGL- Africa Global Logistics deployed its Solidarity Day concept, dedicating its commitment and that of all its staff to the realization of social and charitable actions for the benefit of youth and education.

In Benin, the subsidiaries of AGL (Benin Terminal and AGL Benin) have fully fitted out and equipped a fully functional multimedia room with all modern and operational amenities for the benefit of the orphans, residents of the Claudio MIGNECO orphanage. They also offered 4 brand new canoes with life jackets to 4 separate schools in the lakeside commune of Sô-Ava to promote the safe school transport of young learners in this lake region. For the occasion, the AGL delegation in Benin offered more than 1000 school kits to the schoolchildren of these 4 schools.

In Agassa-Godomey in the commune of Abomey-Calavi, AGL in Benin offered about twenty Dell computers with an internet connection via starlink, 24 new tables and 48 chairs, a 6KVA UPS, a 10KVA regulator, an LED lighting device, an Epson video projector, electrical outlets, 2 air conditioners, 6 fans, …; so many facilities to allow the orphans who are residents of the Claudio MIGNECO orphanage to have a modern multimedia room, a real educational support in this digital age.

In addition to this donation, the AGL delegation in Benin jointly led by Arnaud BOUHIER, Director General of the Benin-Niger Cluster of AGL and Fabrice TURE, Director General of Benin Terminal, went to Sô-Ava to offer 4 brand new pirogues with a hundred life jackets to 4 separate schools: EPP Ahomey-Gblon in the Sô-Ava District,  EPP Kinto Oudjra in the Ahomey-Lokpo District, EPP Akokponawa in the Houédo-Aguékon District and EPP Sô-Zounko in the Vekky District.

The objective is to allow young learners from these lakeside localities to go safely to their respective schools by promoting the organization of safe school transport for schoolchildren while protecting them from capsizing, dilapidated boats and recurrent drownings.

Seizing the opportunity of this visit at the beginning of the school year, the AGL delegation in Benin offered more than 1000 school kits to schoolchildren in these localities.
