On 19 October 2026, a special convoy organised by AGL Congo set off from Pointe-Noire bound for the Mounana base in Gabon, on behalf of a company in the mining sector. The operation involved transporting five out-of-gauge (OOG) consignments consisting of Vertex crane components, with a total weight of 42.5 tonnes. The gendarmerie escorted the convoy throughout the journey to ensure the safety of this exceptional load.
After a three-day journey covering 698 km, the convoy arrived at its destination on 22 October 2026. The cross-border operation was carried out in accordance with Congolese and Gabonese regulations.
Every oversized transport is a project in its own right: we must study the route, anticipate constraints, and coordinate with the authorities and teams on both sides of the border, without ever compromising on safety. This delivery demonstrates our ability to tackle large-scale logistical challenges. It highlights our capacity to offer clients solutions tailored to their most specific needs and to support them in their projects, wherever they operate.
This success is the result of the dedication and expertise of the teams at AGL Congo and AGL Gabon. It demonstrates the Group’s expertise in the management and transport of oversized cargo, whilst confirming its ability to support strategic industrial projects in the sub-region through integrated logistics solutions. With the completion of this special convoy between Pointe-Noire and Mounana, AGL is strengthening its position as a leading player in oversized cargo transport and reaffirming its commitment to supporting the development of industrial activities beyond national borders.
